SD Cards and other flash media can behave very strange when its end of live is reached. Are there possibilities, to ask the android system, or the kernel for corruptions?
if possible dont update files at this point to the server. Maybe eventuell download...
androidU1 should show, that the sdcard is going to die. And possibly ask if it should upload a backup to the server.

Android would handle SD card corruption itself. If the storage is corrupt, there's no way AndroidU1 will access it and start uploading broken files. I also don't have any knowledge about notifications of 'corruption-level' of flash storage (I don't think there's something like bad sectors on flash, is there?)
