Integrate a feature similar to alltray or kdocker, that enables any application to sit in taskbar instead of notification area (systray) and to be minimized to taskbar instead of systray by clicking [X]

I imagine that this would need to work with any/all task manager(s), or at least force the "don't show in the taskbar" hint on windows that want to go in said applet. At any rate, it seems very non-trivial to accomplish. (malept, 20080301)
