About dialog in awn-manager

Registered by haytjes

There should be an about section/dialog in awn-manager to see which version or which revision you are using. That way it would be easy to ask which version someone is using (looking to the guys using deb, usually it's hard to know which version they have)

Maybe it would be interesting if for every part (awn-core/awn-extras/awn-applets) there would be standing which version is used

Whiteboard

I think this is a good idea as well, I have implemented this in the new AWN Manager, but I will need some info from Neil: version, copyright, license, website, authors, documenters, artists, translators.

But for now I will just do a simple one, although it maybe tough to keep it up to date with all the revisions going on, but at least for the milestones, 0.2, 0.3, etc

And it wouldn't be bad to include a bzr revision. For example: v 0.3 ( 223 ) so when people are building and installing this directly from bazaar to know which revision are they running

There's an idea for versioning in the bug that's linked to this blueprint. (malept)
