Well, there's one thing I really like about Cairo Dock: the sub docks. For example one launcher icon for OpenOffice on the tray, when you hover over it, you get another layer with icons for Writer, Calc, etc...

FYI, there's a "multi-launcher" mode in moonbeam's standalone-launcher applet (in awn-extras).
