Make Boot-Repair's installation possible on any platform

Currently, Boot-Repair only can be installed on Debian and derivatives (Ubuntu, Mint...).
This is ok because most of times (when boot is KO), Boot-Repair must be used on live-CD/USB (e.g. Boot-Repair-Disk) , but it would be convenient if it could also be installed and used on any platform (other Linux distributions, but why not also Windows, MacOS,..).
Boot-Repair is currently coded in Bash (but this can be changed), and needs to chroot into broken systems in order to repair them. So I guess in a 1st step it would be easier to make it installable on other Linux distributions.
Any ideas /help are welcome.
