Some ENV vars would be useful to obtain "proper" behavior.
One of the confusing behaviors is that when you have gpg signing enabled, it causes gpg to run in the original terminal, rather than the current terminal. (So you have to enter your password in an old window).
It might be possible to pass in parameters like TTY and have GPG use the correct terminal.
