Replace the system tray with contextual menus
I Know this project is in an early development stage, but it gives a lot to functionality and saves space in the desktop.
Right now, the right-click doesn't hve any action attached to it, but it could be very atractive to inherit tray-icons actions.
For example, i add the launcher to the applet, launch it, and in the
system tray appears the icon of the banshee player. This icon shows some
extra actions when we click on it. Those menus should be attached to the
context-menu of the applet item icon.
I Know this can be hard, but it could make a very complete replacement
for the current taskmanager (the bottom panel) and the system tray (the
top-right part).
Best Regards.
I have some ideas, so if someone wants to discuss about it, i'm open to
share and collaborate... I can also learn Python...XD

Matias: OK, it seems like this would finally be possible now with app-indicators! I still haven't figured out how it's done but at least unity is said to do it, so it should be fully possible. If anyone can point to some information of how to know which app-indicators that are running, please inform me!
