AL: Is this really a blocker for 1.0?

AL: ok, I'm untargeting it then for 1.0.
AL: I also think it's a bit unclear what exactly this blueprint is about.
GNW: Provide a simple framework for users to build their code and to generate Python wrappers for their C++ code.
AL: But where should this go? Should it just be for the specific case of writing a solver in C++ and wrapping it to Python, or do we also need to have templates for pure Python and pure C++ solvers?
MER: Since nothing has happened in 3 years, I'm inclined to mark this as not a priority.
