Query Timeout

Provide a way of giving a timeout with a query, from the client, with a contract that loosely says "If this query cannot complete in X time, I'm not interested" and a side effect that the server MAY send back a timeout error if the query takes longer than that time. The server should probably stop executing the query shortly after the timeout expires
