Restore desktop after docking/undocking

I am using a Lenovo machine with a dock. It has 2 external monitors connected. Normally I work with those 2 external monitors, but sometimes I use it as a laptop with single screen (in meetings). It would be great if apps retained their positions between docking/undocking, including multiple physical and virtual screens.
