Whiteboard
I auto-traced the deck plan of a cruise ship, and I wanted to simplify the curved lines, while keeping the straight, square parts straight and square. Unfortunately, simplify makes everything curvy. Intuitively, I tried selecting groups of nodes to simplify, but it didn't work. Would such a feature be a lot of trouble to develop?
[2011-09-26 ~suv] For a blueprint, there is very few detail about the requested feature and its implementation. In the future, please consider searching the bug tracker first, and filing a new feature request there (if it hasn't been requested before). Blueprints are tools for developers and intended to provide sufficient details for implementing new or enhancing existing features.
I have linked the related report and its two other duplicates (so far) to this blueprint - they include variations/related ideas of the requested feature (exclude nodes, simplify selected sub-paths, etc.)
