welcome screen
I believe we should get a welcome screen in Inkscape. It'll help people get to know more about the project and foster curiosity of new users.
I made a mockup form Krita welcome screen >> https:/
Inkscape possible welcome screen >> https:/
The links inside the Inkscape suggestion of welcome screen are described below:
Inkscape Support = It should lead users to a page where they could pay once/pay monthly to help the project. Or to "sponsor" a particular feature he is interested in see implemented in the project.
First Steps: It could lead users here >> http://
Manual: https:/
Inkscape website: www.inkscape.org
User Community: https:/
Source Code: https:/
Inkscape Keyboard Shortcuts: http://
Just forgot to say that there will be an option a the bottom left of the window that will enable the user to "do not show this in the future" if desired.
What do you guys think? I think this will highlight importance of a lot of links and in the same time make the intro of the program cool/sexy. Any thoughts?
