Appimages should be used and included. appimage has already been supported since 4.1 and there should be some apps included.

however their are a few more that still need work.
Plank (fork from docky) has also been made into an appimage and of course more will be introduced but they have to have their own updater or have their own packages in launchpad to keep them up to date.
