auto completeion or suggestion when typing nicks

It would save a lot of time and accidental misspellings of odd nicks if there was an auto-complete feature for the #ubuntu-classroom-chat, such that if, for example, the user presses Tab after entering the first few characters of a nick, Lernid will guess the remaining characters until there is ambiguity, like in the bash terminal.
Alternatively Lernid could employ a style similar to that used in OpenOffice.org and check for typed characters that seem to be spelling a known nick at the beginning of a line and then suggest a full nick in highlighted text. The user can then accept by pressing a key (Enter or Tab) or continue typing over it if they are typing a different nick or not typing a nick at all.
