As part of Mesa (the open source OpenGL graphics library) there are intel optimizations for Mesa involving use of MMX/SSE to improve the performance of some transformations, blending and reading RGBA values from a buffer.
This blueprint covers work to evaluate and implemented ARM implementations of these same (or other) routines for Mesa to improve performance.
