Gnome Shell media center

Hi, I'm a Linux Mint 12 user, and I want to help you to improve users experience when using this OS. And I have an idea of making a media center for the gnome shell (a kind of media center plugin for the shell) just like the windows and aplications options that we have in the shell, but adding a new one called media center, where we can play music with coverflow, videos, and in which we can sync ipods and other devices, something similar to itunes but for linux, because I know that a lot of users use windows only use it for iTunes and that's the reason why they don't use linux OS. I'm not a developper so I cannot say if it's possible but I think that adding a media center would be great! And I also think that the users of mint would like to change the login screen background in a easy way. Hola he estado usando linux mint 12 el cual para mi es el mejor sistema operativo que he probado, me ha gustado mucho el gnome 3 en especial por el shell, con todas estas opciones tipo dash con las aplicaciones ventanas y escritorios inteligentes pero a mi parecer algo la falta al gnome shell y es disponer de un media center integrado al dash en el cual el usuario pueda escuchar su musica favorita con un coverflow similar al de itunes, reproducir peliculas, y si es posible ver series de tv en vivo desde el ordenador, creo que lo unico que le falta a esta vesion es también mayor capacidad de personalización y agregar efectos parecidos a los del compiz, que me gustaban mucho por ejemplo tambien poder cambiar el fondo de la pantalla de login y que tenga preinstalado plymouth y BURG, me gustaria tambien que usaran un solo panel superior que no incluya el menu clasico sino solo el nuevo que viene con gnome shell ya que este cumple la misma función pero de mejor manera.
Gracias, espero que tomen mi idea en cuenta si pueden responderme seria mejor para saber que opinan ustedes sobre esto.
