If i'm right Software manager the currently appstore of Linux Mint is based on USC right ?
Please participe on collaborating with the Lubuntu and elementary guys on libappstore.
It allows to create your own appstore furthermore it uses PackageKit which is a better base for an appstore than USC itself.
