Package each component individually. License under the LGPL.

Currently all our components are organized in the same tree, I'm not proposing we change that. What I am proposing is that each component (networking, physics, sound, gui, camera etc.) should compile down to individual libraries. These components should be packaged and available in a PPA. There should be source and binary packages for each library. This allows the following:
1. Other people can use our libraries
2. We make sure that everything is loosely coupled
3. If we license each component under the LGPL the libraries can be used in closed source apps as long as any changes to the libraries themselves are reflected back to us.
4. Setting up a PPA will mean we all receive updates to binaries automatically
