Simplified Packaging - Managing Content
As we move more and more into an application centric desktop system, it is important to bring consistency and allow for easier management of the content in a user's computer. Because somethings we still do through the file browser. Why not make that experience better?

This blueprint takes into account the possible implementation of the cover blueprint for Marlin:

Note: I understand this would be a big task. I can't program but I should this be relevant/

I suppose that approaching this from file manager is not a good idea. In an application-centric desktop you don't need a file manager at all, the app manages the library for you instead. ~shnatsel
And all those Nautilus content-specific mods like http://
Oh, and a similar thing has already been proposed at https:/
Marking that one superseded and moving this spec to marlin project. ~shnatsel
I see your point on the Gnome shell nautilus mods. And I agree that there they missed the point. The idea is not to adjust Marlin's interface so that it matches beatbox but rather bring consistency to how content is displayed - and help organize according to the user's taste. I think I'll have to do a mockup of this to better illustrate the idea. In short, it would be a way to neatly organize and group files.
