Read movie/tv serie information from nfo files (XBMC spec)

XBMC has an open XML-based standard for specifying information about movies and tv-series like title, release dates, IMDB-id, description, etc. It would be great if Elisa could read these files (stored with the movies, typically named movie.nfo or <moviename>.nfo and use that to populate the internal database. Would be more reliable than parsing folder and file names.
