A better way to find documents related to each other, follow their state and take action
We use openERP in an old people environment.
Those guys are hard to make understand connections between the documents and some other IT logical stuff.
We thought about this scenario:
One document refers to another, so it should be possible to have in any form view a button called "Related documents" to do something similar with the button BoM structure from the Bom form View.
So if I press "Related documents" on SO0021
I would have a tree view with the fields that can be equivalent from documents:
Eg:
Reference - Date planned - Status
PO0233 - 11.05.2011 - Approved
MO0122 - 17.05.2011 - Waiting goods
IN00211 - 16.05.2011 - Available
OUT2122 - 19.05.2011 - Not available
SAJ/2011/231 - 19.05.2011 - Draft
etc
Double click on one line should open the document,
I would also go further with this and even to have a calendar and a gantt view of the documents related like this.
