Douglas: Fran, could you please remind me why this setting is needed? I'm wondering if it should also affect attendance reports.
Fran: Yes it is entirely to affect the attendance reports and just to make sure that anyone unenrolled in the first few weeks of term counts as not continuing from one year to the next, whereas anyone unnerved after that date would be counted as unenrolled during the year. So it will affect the dashboard (unenrolment line) plus the revisions on the enrolment and demographics report, which will now have the additional four lines of calculations for unenrolment
Douglas: if a student is promoted at the end of 2015 into the next level in 2016 and then they leave the school before the cut off point, would that make the student count as unenrolled in 2015?
Fran: in this case, for the reports they do not count as having unenrolled in the previous year - they just didn't return to school. This would be row 18 in the retention report which is on the blueprints. "% students retained from previous year to the next school year" - anyone unnenrolled before the cut off would not be included in this percentage
