Promotion and Graduation Forms
Need to complete and fix promotion and graduation forms for end of year.
5) For promotion, we're proposing splitting it into two separate forms. I am thinking at this point of having a single Promotion box as we do now, and two tabs on one page where you can switch between "Promotion" and "Graduation"
a) For "promotion," there will be a table listing everyone in each class below the top level class (sorted by class, then alphabetically), with full (including middle) name in the first column, id in second (for duplicate names), displaying current class (level) in the next column, "Promote to level X" and a checkbox in the last column, where X is the next class level.. A the bottom by the submit button would be a selector to choose the active date of the change. This would be the last day of the year being edited (i.e., based on navigation from school page) by default.
After submitting you'd get a confirmation dialog (X students promoted successfully) and probably kicked back to the main School page to make it less likely you'll get confused and immediately promote everyone AGAIN.
b) A second form for "graduation," which would list only the top level students, with a checkbox for "Graduate" and an active date selector. Other changes in enrollment would be done individually, but graduation is a batch job.
