Today we have a CLI to perform index loading: searchlight-manage index sync
To execute the CLI, you must be on the same system as all the code. The idea here is create a management API (protected by policy) to sync the index. This would allow for remote management of the indexed data from a management console.
As an operator, I would like to be able to trigger re-indexing by monitoring tools if I find that the index has come out of sync.
This will require a full specification.
