Transcode a playlist.

I've created a playlist of several different files types with my music player (Clementine as it happens), but I cannot save all the files as one type to transfer to an iPod or similar. The playlist has all the needed file info, it should be easy to a read playlist (eg m3u) ) instead of a directory. It would be a nice add on, thanks.

And what exactly is better with a playlist, instead of a folder or a list of files ?
