2005-10-28 to 2005-11-10: Ubuntu Below Zero:

The November 2005 Ubuntu Developer Summit is being called "Ubuntu Below Zero" because of the location, in Montreal, CA. This meeting will include a co-hosted LTSP meeting and Edubuntu meeting, and the Launchpad team will be there too.

2005-11-10 to 2005-11-10: Instant server development :

This meeting will be of great use to the Ubuntu Instant Server Development Team as we are deciding what packages will get into Ubuntu Instant WebServer (Easy Instant and Advanced Instant). Example for Advanced Instant choices given to users: Apache1 or Apache2 PHP4 or PHP5 Etc

2006-02-25 to 2006-02-26: FOSDEM 2006:

The sixth Free and Open source Software Developers' European Meeting is a 2 days event, organized by volunteers, to promote the widespread use of Free and Open Source software. Taking place in the beautiful city of Brussels, Belgium FOSDEM meetings are recognised as the best Free and Open Source events in Europe.

2006-03-17 to 2006-03-19: Libre Graphics Meeting:

LGM will be a melting pot, with free software graphics developers and artists meeting each other, exchanging ideas and tips, and planning the future of free graphics. Graphics professionals interested in learning about the state of the art in free software are also welcome. The conference will be all about participation. Artists and developers, feel free to bring your laptops and tablets, and show us what you can (and can't) do. Organise a BOF about your favourite project or feature. We're aiming for a bazaar. The conference is free to attend, and open to all. LGM will bring together developers and users of the best of free software graphics applications - GIMP, Inkscape, Scribus, Blender and more. It promises to be a fun ride, with tutorials and presentations of applications, and lots of time and space to chat, meet up with old friends, make new ones. Plans will be made, hacking and drawing will be done, fun will be had.

2006-04-10 to 2006-04-12: Open Source and Sustainability:

Open Source and Sustainability is a three day conference exploring the issues of open source and sustainability from the perspective of higher and further education. This conference will look at open source sustainability from the point of view of: (a) strategic funding bodies seeking to maximise their investment through open source development; (b) universities and colleges entangling their infrastructure and pedagogical environments with open source software; (c) software development projects seeking to perpetuate themselves through building communities; and (d) businesses basing their sustainability on an open source business model

2006-04-12 to 2006-04-12: Web Team Meeting:

In this meeting we will be reviewing where the webteam is headed and begin to think about our goals for the summer months. Hopefully most bugs will have been resolved before this meeting, but it is understandable if not all are.

Areas of interest include multimedia, desktop effects, localization, accessibility, sparc, governance, artwork, thin client, and the continuation of our focus on the desktop.

Mark Shuttleworth touched down from space exactly five years, so we're throwing huge party/install-fest/LUG meeting at the University of Seville for anyone who loves Ubuntu or Kubuntu. People living in Southern Spain should be able to travel to Seville on the Saturday morning in time for the 10:00 start. Knowing the "latin spirit" there will be partying until the morning after! 2007-05-06 to 2007-05-11: UDS Sevilla May 2007:

This is the planning meeting for Ubuntu's Feisty+1 release, and will cover enhancements and new upstream code that we expect to appear over the coming six months. Members of the multimedia, internationalization, accessibility, 3D graphics and presence communities will also have sprints and one-day specialist summits in conjunction with the event.

Most of the holders are users of Iranian Ubuntu site users (ubuntu-ir.org) and want to install ubuntu and kubuntu in participant's systems. these festival also has an introduction to Free software philosophy and introducing ubuntu and its feutures.

2007-10-25 to 2007-10-27: UES Boston 2007:

The Boston Ubuntu Education Summit (UES) will discuss education issues across the range of Ubuntu software, and will prioritise the proposed features for Edubuntu 8.04 Feisty+2. Likely focus areas include university level requirements, large scale deployment and management of education installations, education administration tools, and reportbacks, presentations and case studies from our existing user base. The output from UES will be fed into the Boston Ubuntu Developer Summit UDS.
