Whiteboard
One problem with this appliance is the clause about images in the Launchpad licensing.
https:/
If you want a production instance of Launchpad that isn't Launchpad itself, the whole thing needs to be reskinned.
-- adrian-wilkins
Good point Adrian, we will have to look into this further, but I the question is whether this licensing issue is on TurnKey or the user who decides whether to use the appliance for development/testing or production...
"""
The image and icon files in Launchpad are copyright Canonical, but unlike the source code they are not licensed under the AGPLv3. Canonical grants you the right to use them for testing and development purposes only, but not to use them in production (commercially or non-commercially).
"""
-- alonswartz
Note Canonical apparently don't really intend to have people deploy additional Launchpad instances in production, they say they open sourced it so people would have a way to hack on it, Production use "support" is nonexistent.
