Ubuntu's blueprints needs cleanup
Someone should clean blueprints a bit. For example I found one from 2007 (!) about dialog that pops up on opening .exe files and explains the situation. This is a very good idea. Why isn't it implemented or even reviewed? And if it's declined or old (5 years without any comment!), it should be deleted. There even is a blueprint marked for Feisty! If it's still actual it should be marked for Precise or Quantal, and if not - deleted.

I *completely* agree.
The reason it's hard to do is that the blueprint feature in launchpad lacks adequate functionality to make cleanup easy. The only people able to do the heavy cleanup work (managers and the like) are themselves so busy that it's not worth their time to do it.
By and large all blueprints are ignored, save those that get targeted to and accepted for a sprint.
Certainly many blueprints contain valuable and useful recommendations for changes or features that should be implemented for Ubuntu. However, unless they get discussed at a UDS, they're never going to see the light of day. It would be better to file them as wishlist bugs. ~Bryce Harrington

So launchpad's blueprints system needs improvements? If features are lacking, then we need to file a bug about it. But for example elementary team actually uses blueprints system, they write and discuss new, implement approved, delete old...
I asked a question for Launchpad itself: https:/
