Mir Phone Emulator
NOTE: this blueprint was overcome by events
since we have a working "run on desktop" mode for unity8 this effort is no longer needed.
makes more sense to focus on convergence, e.g. mir on mir
Make it possible to run Mir on a standard Ubuntu install to test phone shell / applications.
Acceptance criteria:
April / ubuntu-
#1) tbd
May / ubuntu-13.05
#1) UnityNext team should be able to take Mir running on X and be able to run the phone shell on top without breaking the users nux based desktop
May / ubuntu 13.06
#1) UnityNext team should be able to take Mir running on X and be able to run the phone shell on top without breaking the users nux based desktop
note: same goal as last month, time is running out on how useful this is - if this isn't achieved in the first couple of weeks of June, we should abandon this effort, it was always a Nice-To-Have

Whiteboard
There is thought that this blueprint should belong to sdk team, as this would be beneficial to the unity team, the unity team is still able to use virtualized platform but this would be extremely beneficial to app developers in advance of a real platform.
