Combine the Update manager in the software center

Because you can manage .debs files in the software center, and you have history from all of the updates in the software center, you can combine the Update manager and the Software Center. It can be look like this (made with GIMP): http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/6302/bewerkt.png

If you just click on updates, you see them all, and then you can install them all.
