FontConfig plans for Edgy

We need to build a stronger community around FontConfig, and expand the way we coordinate with people who are working on the detailed requirements in different languages and countries. As for fontconfig itself, without replacing the matching algorithm, performance is not going to dramatically improve. The space of solutions revolves around several
different plans:
1) Focus on CSS2 matching; it's what khtml and gecko want anyway
2) Dealing with bitmap fonts; one size per file makes things hard
3) Providing a 'sort' function to improve glyph substitution
