Currently sun-java6 in the partner archive gets regular updates for older Ubuntu releases, which are not only security fixes. Compared with Openjdk-6 only getting security fixes, but not important bugs fixes. OpenJDK-6 doesn't change much. Let's evaluate how OpenJdk can keep up with the non-free java version.
