Convergence and divergence in CD build infrastructures

The official Ubuntu CD build infrastructure differs greatly from those used by Canonical OEM, Linaro, and others. While it's probably a non-starter for us to use Offspring, we can probably learn from each other in discussing how and why our systems differ, and close feature/
