Ctrl+Shift+Esc would probably be a better shortcut for this. It's easier, doesn't mean "reboot now" on the console, and it is consistent with Microsoft Windows (were Ctrl+Alt+Del sometimes opens process list, sometimes security dialog, depending on system settings, but Ctrl+Shift+Esc always opens process list).
I think people expect Ctrl+Alt+Del to do something, it's kind of famous as the keys to hit when your computer stops responding. -- davidhughjones
