Improve Ubuntu interface/design
I propose to do improve interface of Ubuntu descktop in Mac OS and Google Chrome browser style. Main goal - clear screen.
We can move buttons CLOSE WINDOW, HIDE/RESTORE and FULL SCREEN buttons to main menu bar (near the Applications dropdown list).
Also we can add line near the main menu with list of application options (I not found how to attach screenshot to this blueprint, sorry).
Screen to be like this:
where "x _ o" is a buttons for close, restore and restore buttons
-------
x _ o | Applications | Places | System .... (menu bar)
-------
File | Edit | Help .... (application options and title of this application in the one line)
-------
Application window here
....
-------
Bottom sidebar

Like the idea of clean screen but I fear that the logic 'jump' between active screen and button action might be a bit far. What is your proposal to facilitate this gap? Does it also relates to managing inactive windows?
