Bug 354172: reopened bug, and submitted patch to control file to move around gdb dependencies so that installing the apport cli components does not pull in gdb, Martin Pitt accepted. This bug is the primary blocker (as I understand it) for getting apport installed by default in ubuntu-server

Fixes for bugs 354172, 401973, and 401983 were all accepted in one form or another, and were uploaded in the apport 0.8 package.
Feature Freeze Exception bug 424051 was filed to get apport in the ubuntu-server install seed.
2009-11-10: FFE was accepted, apport made it into the default ubuntu-server install. Marking blueprint complete.
