Making it possible to control the sound on login manager

Jimmy has a laptop and he uses it in the school classroom. When he logs in, the class atmosphere changes to an Safari atmosphere because of the opening music. He likes it but he thinks he should control or temporarily disable its volume under some spesific circumtances.

I agree with this entirely. It should be pretty easy to implement too; just a slider like the one at the top right of oyur screen in gnome.
