Online Status for the Desktop
We currently display a lot of geeky information about the network connection, when for home users, their main concern is not network connection, but internet connection.
This blueprint is a basis for discussion for the proposal of adding a further status or set of possible states that the computer can be classified given it's networking states. This would include weather the computer was online, or behind a paywall, or on GSM and the basic speed of connection. See the wiki for details and discussion.
