Dapper Server Edition Plans

The "server edition" of Dapper will be supported for 5 years. We need to make sure that we have thought of things that will be attractive for system administrators, to raise interest in Ubuntu as a server OS. This specification lists ideas for the server edition.

this is complex and big. 30 days is really the minimum to get everything in by one person.
target note: the spec is huge and we will implement as much as we can.

Note that this goal is considered Implemented for Dapper. Remaining pieces deferred to Dapper+1.
Less was delivered on this goal than expected as progress was blocked by the sys admin queue.
