Server hardware certification
Server hardware tends to be under-represented within the category of systems which tend to follow the development branch of Ubuntu. This sometimes results in inadequate testing, even of popular server platforms, through the usual mechanisms. We should make a specific effort to encourage and coordinate testing of server hardware during the development cycle, so that problems are resolved early.

Testing kit not available from vendors.
Malcolm please update the status of this spec. Thanks JMW.
To date we have no server hardware companies sending us equipment
Sun is in the process of doing so
Intel is in the process of doing so
IBM and HP brands will not, as far as I am able to understand from them, be willing to help with global certification.
There are other, smaller system builders that may be willing to certify - though to date, none have done so.
