Ubuntu Server MS Integration Proxies
Registered by
Dan Shearer
Ubuntu Server will ship three existing free software proxies for networks where the Microsoft server environment makes it impossible to deploy Ubuntu.By inserting a free software layer between the Microsoft servers and any computers that speak these Microsoft protocols a new level of control is introduced. Administrators can choose how the Microsoft servers are presented, making things more configurable for both free and non-free client software. The three proxies wrap, in various ways, Exchange servers, Active Directory servers and CIFS file servers and come from the OpenChange, OpenLDAP and Samba projects.
