Some basic usability enhancements for regular users

Registered by Slogger

There are a number of basic interface enhancements needed for general users in Ubuntu. This spec is for centrally locating them as reference. These ideas all received high levels of interest from users on ubuntuforums.org.

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=420170 (which misses forest for the trees by initially specifying a shortcut combo.)

1. Better support for multi (More than 3) button mouses. Ideally a preferences dialog of some kind is implemented to allow basic customizations.

2. Fix gnome-screen saver. Currently, many default options cause gigantic CPU load, especially on high-res screens. Also, there is not intuitive way to change which screen savers are randomed between. https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/gnome-screensaver-advanced-options/

3. Simple shortcut by default for access to the gnome system monitor. There needs to be a shortcut, don't care what it is, for users to hit so they can kill unresponsive or lagging applications/processes intuitively/easily.
