Have The Open Source ATI Video Driver Turned Of For Non-Supporting GPUs
Registered by

It would be great to have the ATI driver disabled for non-supporting GPUs like the Radeon XPRESS 200. I own an ECS RS482-M754 motherboard with this chipset, and had to use the vesa driver for Ubuntu to even start, because the 'ati' driver has many issues. I then had to install the proprietary 'fglrx' driver.

This driver even supports 3D on xpress 200m (RS480). Only Compiz Fusion isn't supported.
