brightness-control in power indicator

I`m using notebook and I was not able to control brightness via hotkeys, then I set the keys, but I have only 4 discrete sets of brightness and it would be cool to place brightness control to indicator of batttery, like it is made with sound. Optionally you may scroll mouse on the indicator of power and brightness would be changing.
