Locale images for cities

This is a simple way to generate a lot of interest and enthusiasm around weather-wallpaper.

Have an image depicting major landmarks for each city or area nearest the weather station. The wallpaper image will be composited out of the city/location image and the weather information image (that is, show a skyline affected by the weather). Text information could be incorporated in a variable slot in the city image, (e.g., it could appear in a billboard). The style of the city and weather renderings should be similar. The total effect will be similar to the Google homepage background.

Area backgrounds will end up being produced by every Linux user group, and could end up being symbols of pride. It could also be a way to involve artists in open source.

It would also be cool in the future to tie into GPS functionality to change the background based on the current location of the laptop.
