Colour Fill Module/Plugin
I think there should be a way to schedule a block of colour, or a block of transparency (ie no content) such that you can have a gap between two media items (without having to upload an appropriate image).

Whats an example of when you might want to do this?
I'm wondering if maybe this is more to do with transitions between media (a delay transition). Or do you mean you might want a blank space for 20 minutes?...
I would like to see a selection of transitions that can have a duration - instead of a specific media item for a blank space

I'm thinking for example you might want to sequence something on a layout such that one or more regions don't appear straight away. Or that there's a pause between one item disappearing and the next reappearing.
Agreed long term it would be good to have a way of having transitions between, but being able to schedule a block of colour, or a block of transparency would solve this short term. You could present it to the user as a delay, but being able to schedule a colour too might be useful?
