I think this is an opportunity for improvement, because the trend is the user drag the media and release it between the vertical space bars, as I was doing. Another possibility for improvement is:
In the box where the content to be inserted in the layout are chosen would be an interesting exist an option to define an order for the content in layout, independent of the order of upload of contents..
Alex H: It would be nice to have a "cursor" that you can place in the timeline and have a new item added at that point to save moving it in the first place. That or perhaps have it so you can drag media modules off the toolbar and drop them straight on to the timeline...
DEntwisle: What does the timeline add in terms of usability? Wouldn't a simple vertical grid showing the name, duration, and edit buttons be simpler? It would make it a lot easier to scroll through the list (as each item is the same size, regardless of duration). You could select an item and insert before. It might not look as visually impressive, but wouldn't it be a lot easier and more efficient to use?
